Znetshows Design Team
Hello Friends,
I belong to several artists groups on Facebook. Through these groups I have not only been inspired to try new techniques, but also to apply to magazines for publication and most recently to apply to be part of a design team.
I was so pleased to be accepted as a member of the ZNETSHOWS design team. I have worked with Znetshow's materials on a previous occasion when I participated in their 'cultured sea glass challenge' and I was a winner in a bead giveaway they hosted, let me say, they have some very nice products.
I wanted to be part of a design team for several reasons. First and foremost because it would force me to try new materials that I might not chose for myself and thus push the bounds of my creativity.
Secondly, it's a good way to meet other artists who can inspire me with their skills.
My third reason for wanting to be on a team was because being accepted to a team helps legitimize my place among other artists and designers. Lastly, who wouldn't want to work with all those lovely BEADS! :-D
My first challenge came a few weeks ago as the social media coordinator for Znetshows, Hope Smitherman put out the information on the topics for the winter edition of 'Creative Spark', the e-zine for Znetshows.
PEARLS is all I will say, but be prepared to see some amazing ideas for this traditional material. These aren't your grandmas pearls!
Currently I am working on a 'lightening' challenge. Znetshows sponsors 7000 Bracelets of Hope, which supports people who bear one of the more than 7,000 different rare genetic diseases that impact 1 in 10 people, 30 million Americans and 350 million globally [read more about this group and its supportive good works by clicking the link above] with bracelets in the color blue [genes= blue jeans...get it?] that represent the struggle these people deal with daily.
Here are the beads I received yesterday... sea glass and chinese crystal beads.
I have a few ideas already forming, I will post my finished products very soon.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, please check out Znetshows link and also 7000 Bracelets for Hope for more information.
Have a lovely Tuesday,
Warm Regards,
Tammie
