Thrifting Thursday 4-10-14 Vintage Button Cha-Cha Bracelets
Hi Thrifty Friends~
It's no secret that I have been on an old button collecting binge for the last year or so. Stalking thrift shops, estates sales, auctions and garage sales looking for caches of previously loved buttons.
Recently I felt like I finally had enough of various colors to sort them by color and make some simple, fun and unique cha-cha style bracelets.
This set at right in pink, with a few faceted crystals for sparkle, was actually made as a gift for a dear friend's birthday.
Here you see a plate of colorful goodness. I admit there is just a tiny sprinkling of 'modern' buttons here in the red, yellow and green bracelets. I didn't have quite enough... so I did supplement, but the vast majority are up cycled.
Thanks for stopping by~ These are currently for sale in my FB shop /TTE Designs and soon to be at the Thoroughgood Spring Celebration [4-26]-14 and Gosport Arts Festival [5-10&11-14]
Have a great weekend!
Wow, it's been a while since I've visited your blog. I love the revamp and the new logo. I understand the button love. Ever since I was paired with Cindy Wimmer a few years back I find myself collecting buttons. Lovely bracelets Tammie. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of buttons, too, Tammie, but most are metal or wood. Though I guess this style could be cool with metal buttons, too :)
ReplyDeleteYou know (or at least I hope you do) that I love me some buttons too. These are a lot of fun and so bright! What a cute design. :)
