Look Out Norfolk, VA~ Here I Come! :-D

807 Shirley Avenue, in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk, Virginia

Hello Friends~
I am ecstatic!  Not too long ago I applied to be included in a darling little shop named KITSCH ~Handmade in Virgina"  in the Ghent area of Norfolk and I am so pleased to say that they agreed to accept a few of my polymer clay home decor items.
As of Saturday, they now have a selection of my photo frames and polymer clay covered hen's eggs.

What is Kitsch? Well the dictionary says "things (such as movies or works of art) that are of low quality and that many people find amusing and enjoyable ".  Well that may be the book definition but you will only find the highest quality handmade items here. From jewelry to bath products, housewares to pet stuff, clothing, hula hoops to wrought iron, they have it all.

The shop is located at 807 Shirley Avenue, a few steps off Colley Av. just after the Naro Theater.
They are open Tuesday-Saturday from 11-7 and Sunday 12-5.

This awesome little shop totally supports handmade in Virginia and backs that up with a commitment to creating, evidenced by the giant workspace and frequent classes offered on site.

You can find out more at their blog KITSCHVA or their FaceBook page [feel free to click those links]

I hope you will stop by in person and support local artisans who are 100% made in VA.
So here are some pics of what I have in place.
Thanks for looking & have a great day!
Warm Regards,
Tammie

  1. Kitsch is HOT right now! Some of us love having a name that could be interpreted as somehow "inferior" (half-baked?) :) What matters is the proof of quality in the product, right? Your designs are wonderful and original, and I'm sure that is why Kitschva were excited to work with you. I checked their awesome blog; hope to see you featured there in the future, Tammie!

  2. Very cool, Tammie! I didn't realize you made non-jewelry types of polymer clay objects too! Congrats on your inclusion in the store! Sounds ideal!
