Pinterest Monday 8-26-13-- Wetting Down Inspired by Vintage

Hello Fellow Pinners~
Today I am highlighting some vintage Navy and military posters and ephemera from WWI & WWII.

My hard working Navy pilot is getting his promotion to Captain this week and so we are hosting a Navy tradition this weekend.  A 'Wetting Down' is an observance that celebrates an officer's new rank, and since this is most likely our last one we are doing it a little differently. We have hired a friend who has recently launched a party planning business [The Happy Hour Hostess] to help us make this event extra special.

Our theme involves Navy Pilots wings, Captains insignia and vintage ephemera.  So I have been pinning food, decorations and antique posters as inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by today, I'll  try and do a follow up post next week.
Warm Regards,  Tammie
