2/17/21 New House Choices

Today’s blog post is a little out of the norm. This past weekend my husband and I went to Pensacola to begin selecting exterior and floor choices for our new custom built home. We decided to go with a very traditional vibe. We like a nice red brick, with  a medium gray grout and a dark gray roof. 

We also plan to use white for the trim windows and hardy plank and will add some lovely cultured stone accents around the columns above the front door and coordinating with the hearth and fireplace.

Where are the interior flooring on the majority of the house we are going to use long wood look tile in a neutral brown. We feel like this will blend well with the cabinetry that we are choosing and our current furnishings. We like the look of wood but with two big knucklehead dogs tile is a great choice for durability. Also in Florida with the humidity and the heat tile is a great solution. 

Next we will be choosing bathroom tile. Here are some options. 

Here is the luxury vinyl flooring for my studio space. It’s a good match to the actual tile.
