Mouth-watering Monday
Hello Friends,
Usually on Mondays I do a spot called 'Pinterest Monday' but today I want to share with you a mouth watering recipe that I prepared over the weekend.
In the summer of 2009, while living in Guam, my family and I had the chance to travel down under to Australia. We had a brief time in Cairns but spent most of our time in Sydney. It was a wonderful vacation and in addition to the lovely people we met and the amazing sites we saw the wine and food were fantastic.
One of the best things I ate while there was a Thai Grilled Beef Salad. Just the right combination of spice and crunch, the warm beef and the cool greens, topped off with a great Aussie wine it was an unforgettable meal in an unforgettable place. Fast forward a bit, the vacation is a happy memory, but that salad has become a CRAVING! I have tried a few different versions and finally found one that meets all the criteria I remember.
I meant to take my own picture but alas~ I was too hungry. Here is the recipe I used from Ellie Krieger of Food Network. I doubled the marinade/dressing and added a dash of Sriracha sauce. I also added some julienned red bell pepper and grape tomatoes. I hope you will give it a try
